Making your secure transport decision.
Explore the reasons why we're different.

Why us?

When shopping around for secure travel partners, you’ll want to know what makes us different. So here are 14 reasons to choose Secure Ground Transportation (in no particular order).

Loyalty

When clients join us, they stay, because the service they get with us ‘as standard’ goes above and beyond what they’ve experienced elsewhere. To date, no client has ever left us.

Recommendations

Most clients are recommended to us by word-of-mouth. They’re so happy, they refer us to their business associates.

Longstanding partners

We are consistently selected to work with other security firms who need a UK security driver footprint. We’ve never failed their regular ‘mystery shopper’ tests that have zero tolerance for mistakes.

Boutique service

You don’t liaise with us through a remote call centre. We keep it hands-on. You’ll deal direct with Gary or Neil and our small back-office team, so benefitting from a truly personal service.

Experienced

Formerly working as military personnel and police officers, we have decades of experience in delivering security services and security drivers to our clients.

Campaigning

Security driving is a sector where there is no licensing and no prerequisites to entry. Almost any ex-military personal or security people can call themselves a ‘security driver’ although they haven’t done any additional training. That doesn’t apply to us – and is a danger we’re actively working against.

Trained

We’re trained to protect people, property and assets. And we constantly upskill our team to keep on top of developing vehicle technologies, new threats, and global destinations, so we’re ready to deal with any risks that may arise.

Active

We support the security industry by attending relevant events around the world, often as sponsors and/or speakers. For example, you’ll regularly find us at trade shows such as the annual Executive Security and CP Technology Forum in London, and the International Protective Security Board conference in the USA. This keeps our profile high, and ensures our knowledge is completely up to date.

Discreet

We always guard our clients’ confidentiality, are happy to sign NDAs, and will never divulge who we work for.

Social

We’re active on social media, but because of the nature of our work, we never post live locations and always remain discreet. For example, we won’t share an image that shows the tail fin of a private jet, to avoid it being identified.

Trainers

We also train chauffeurs to become security drivers – that’s one way of reassuring you of the level of our skills.

Professional

It goes without saying our drivers are polite and respectful while remaining discreet, so your executives can travel as required while staying ‘under the radar’.

Personal Touch

Here are just a few examples of the details we consider:

  • We try out restaurants and bars so we can recommend them to our clients when asked (See examples on our Facebook page)
  • To reduce health risks, we’ve carried hand sanitiser gel as standard in all vehicles, even before the Covid-19 pandemic. We also use a thorough cleaning regime that includes every part of the vehicle a passenger will come into contact with, such as seat belt buckles and clips
  • To ensure a seamless journey, we do advance reconnaissance (recce) of primary and secondary routes, arrival and departure processes, and other vital information
  • We actively monitor public records, social media and the ‘dark web’ so we are aware of weather updates, news alerts, and any upcoming threats to the location or individual we’re protecting
  • If we find out the principal likes a particular brand of mints that are only available in the USA, we’ll keep a few packs in stock for them. They’re unlikely to thank us, but our drivers hear the bag rustling so we know the mints are appreciated – that’s just one example of the attention to detail we employ
