Here’s what Neil Davis OBE said on LinkedIn about his recent security driver training course:
“It was fast and intense interspersed with loads of fun.
The fresh smell of brake pads and discs begging to be given time to cool off mixed with burning rubber filled the fresh mountain air.
I was buddied up with ‘Steve’, a likeable chap from Michigan. He gave me a look that said “Neil you are absolutely crazy” when I turned the radio on as we were barreling toward a hazard on the road that was in a controlled environment. He stopped filming my runs twice, once because he was spewing profanities and once because he laughed so much he was crying.
My driving course with Vehicle Dynamics Institute was nothing short of 1st Class.
A huge thank you is owed to Joseph Autera (plus Mrs Autera) and their brilliant team of instructors. They made learning fun even though, as a Brit, the steering wheel is where EP/CP usually sits.
Safe to say as a professional security driver I passed the course with flying colours and a big grin on my face. Joe, take a bow sir. You have put together an excellent team.
In conclusion, I’m not posting to brag about my pass but to point out to any EP guys and girls plus professional security drivers, if you’ve not taken a course with VDI, why not!!!! You learn a skill for work that also turns into a skill you can use away from work.
Would I take the course again………in a heartbeat even though it’s “across the pond” in the Poconos. Re-cert in 2 years time.”
Gary Fraser, our COO, is doing his course next year.
